The 2024 Rosado Muga, from Alto Najerilla, was aged for 16 weeks on lees. Pale pink, with cherry and mild sour cherry aromas accented by rose petals, it’s light and fresh with malic acidity. Expressive and lively, this is a crisp, uncomplicated Rosé.

The 2021 Pinot Noir West Sonoma Coast is a ridiculously beautiful wine. Ripe candied fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint and sweet spice all soar out of the glass. This brilliant, transparent Pinot is long on class. Readers who want to understand the magic of the 2021 vintage will find much to admire here. This is a tremendous wine at the appellation level. The West Sonoma Coast Pinot is a blend of 13 clones from the Estate and the nearby Richardson vineyard. Dazzling.

The 2023 Romnico is Tinta de Toro. Strawberry and plum notes mingle with subtle oak in the background. Juicy, polished and supple, the palate is full and delicately textured with fine tannins. Long for its price point, this is a modern and accessible expression of Toro.
4-Lava Cap 2022 Zinfandel El Dorado County Sierra Foothills California
Lava Cap is regarded as one of the premier Zinfandel producers in the Sierra Foothills. The 2022 Zinfandel reflects Lava Caps’ goal of creating wines that have ample concentrations and depth, but also expectational balance. Rather than the jammy and brambly flavors so often associated with this grape, this wine shows elegance, with vivid red fruits, great acidity, and moderate tannins. All hallmarks of high elevation expressions of these grapes. The wines balance and brightness make it perfect for Tri-Tip, hamburgers, or Italian food. The grapes are handpicked at moderate sugars and fermented in stainless steel. Aged 24 months in François Frères French oak barrels.

Les Cadrans de Lassègue 2022 showcases a beautiful deep and shiny color. From the first aeration, aromas of nutmeg and white pepper evolve towards fresh notes of rose petals and red fruits, all with great clarity. On the palate the wine is rich, fruity and well balanced; the persistent freshness is carried by melted tannins and a beautiful minerality, characteristic of clay-gravelly-siliceous soils. This vintage of Les Cadrans de Lassègue expresses a lot of finesse and elegance, it can be appreciated over the next ten years.
