1-Roederer Estate Brut Sparkling Anderson Valley California
The Tasting Panel 93 Rating
Finely wrought and sure-footed, this estate-grown blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir (with 10%–15% oak-aged reserve wine) proffers scents of baguette, citrus and citrus blossom, vanilla-poached pear, and hazelnut that harmonize with notes of green and golden apple, lemon balm, and subtle tarragon on the palate—itself gloriously silky, with round acidity and a scintillating finish.
2-Chateau de Chasseloir 2023 Melon de Bourgogne Muscadet Sevre Et Maine Loire Valley France
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
This wine is substantial and joyful. Brioche and pear-tart aromas open on the nose followed by roasted green-apple slice and lightly buttered toast. The fulsome palate is creamy with well-integrated fruit flavors that are lovingly supported by uplifting acidity that carries to the finish along with white nectarine and white blossom.
3-Sonoma Cutrer 2023 Chardonnay Les Pierres Sonoma Coast Sonoma County California
James Suckling 95 Rating
Lushness and ripeness come with matching precision and detail in this well-balanced, tensioned wine. A bracing, almost grippy aspect to the texture lifts the indulgent poached pear and vanilla bean flavors for good balance, drive and length. As one of the early top chardonnays in Sonoma County, it’s still a gem. Drink or hold.
4-Midnight Cellars 2021 Grenache Moonbeam Paso Robles
Enjoyabilityfactor 90 Rating
The 2021 Midnight Cellars Grenache “Moonbeam” is a vibrant, ruby-red Paso Robles estate wine. Known for a complex profile of fresh red raspberries, dried sage, and subtle mulling spices, this expression typically retails for about $58 and is aged 10 months in neutral French oak.
5-Jada Vineyard & Winery 2020 Jersey Girl Estate Bottled
Willow Creek District Paso Robles California
Enjoyabilityfactor 94 Rating
The 2020 Jersey Girl embodies our love for not only blends but also co-fermentations. At the core of the blend is one of our darkest clones of Syrah, clone 383, and a co-fermentation of Syrah, Viognier, and Graciano harvested on the same day. Several other Syrah-based co-fermentations were blended into the Jersey Girl to add mid-palate richness, with color and spicy and earthy notes from the Graciano and Tannat. Overall, about 7% of Syrah was fermented as whole cluster to add more spice, floral notes, and complex fruit aromatics. R37-6
6-Castello di Ama 2021 San Lorenzo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Tuscany Italy
Wine Spectator 95 Rating
Deep, dark and densely wrought, featuring black cherry, blackberry, violet, iron and tobacco aromas and flavors. The sinewy tannins are enhanced by the vivid acidity, and everything comes together on the crystalline aftertaste, which echoes the fruit and floral elements. Power meets finesse. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best from 2028 through 2050. 1,000 cases imported.
